ARABIA, Southern. Qataban. 4th-3th centuries BC. Didrachm (Silver, 17 mm, 7.92 g, 9 h), imitating Athens. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette; on cheek, 𐩫 ('k' in South Arabian). Rev. WΘ Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent. Huth 339-340 = Munro-Hay pl. XLVII, 21 and XLIX, 60. Extremely rare, the finest of perhaps only three known examples. The reverse a bit weak, otherwise, very fine.
